Cafe Mlynek

Veg friendly restaurant with vegan and gluten-free options

We went to Mlynek because they have a Polish dish called “latkes” (potato pancakes) which is vegan and gluten free. We thought it would be nice to try some Polish cuisine. It was tasty, but a bit too oily for my liking and I missed some veggies :)

We went back the next day for the falafel and tahini platter and the rice stick noodles with vegetables. They were a hit!

Vegan burger joint with gluten-free options

I had the Tofex burger on a gluten free bun, with some mustard, vegan mayonaise and a slice of vegan cheese. The burger was quite tasty, but I’ve had better. If it wasn’t for the mustard I think it would have been a bit bland. Extra points for location though!

I love observing how Poland is developing and changing, and more and more vegan friendly places are opening. It is also easier to eat out as a vegan, because many non-vege places offer some dishes or vegan alternatives. One of those places is my favorite bar in Warsaw – Bubbles. They specialize in champagne, but also serve delicious, high quality food. And in their menu you can find some vegan options as well. It is a perfect place, because everyone will be able to find something for themselves :)

I’ll be sure to keep that in mind for next time, Alexa. Thank you for your suggestion. I think it is wonderful that even non-veggie places decide to offer some vegan or vegetarian meal options :)
